Kansas City, Mo ? Lawrence’s Nathaniel Spencer was six shots off the lead Tuesday in the American Junior Golf Assn. Marsh Kansas City Junior, held at Oakwood Country Club.

Spencer, a junior-to-be at Lawrence High, carded a four-over 76, shooting 40 on the front and 36 on the back. Matthew Keith, Springfield, Mo., and Jordan Payne, West Memphis, Ark., share the lead at 70.

He was the Lions’ top golfer last spring, claiming the Sunflower League individual title.
