She was born April 17, 1912, in Linwood, the daughter of William and Nellie (Marshall) Winkelman.

Mrs. Skeet had been head cook at several residence halls at Kansas University. She was a member of United Methodist Church and former Worthy Matron, Rinda Chapter No. 82 O.E.S., both of Tonganoxie. She was also a member of Busy Bee Club and Reno Ladies AID, both of Reno.

She married Harry M. Skeet on Oct. 5, 1938, in Reno. He died on March 22, 1995.

Survivors include three sons, Larry W. Skeet, Lane, Billy A. Skeet, Tonganoxie, and Robert M. Skeet, Lawrence; a sister, Clovis Curtiss, Lansing; five grandchildren; two stepgrandsons; six great-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-granddaughter.

A stepgrandson died in 1984.

Family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
