I have always suspected that news reporters and editorial writers were careful not to provide a negative impact on each other. This cartoon and the news article tells me that too many hamburgers at McDonald’s could cause obesity, resulting in legal action to solve the problem.

I have read several news reports about a large percentage of the younger generation Americans are suffering from obesity. A report issued by World Watch Institute last year shows that a full 61 percent of the adult population in the U.S. is overweight  the highest figure in the industrial world. If the fast food customers could win a lawsuit, then Popeye could encourage customers to shift to spinach, solving our obesity problems.
