Richards services

He was born April 15, 1936, in Gridley, the son of Kenneth E. and Anna (Wise) Richards. He grew up in Lebo and graduated from Lebo High School in 1954. He also had lived in Lawrence before moving to Baldwin in June 1991.

Mr. Richards worked at the Kansas Union for nine years. He also worked at Hillcrest Wrecker Service, Lawrence, and Douglas County Sign Maintenance Department. He retired in 1993 because of a disability.

He married Margaret Rollins Dec. 4, 1964. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three daughters, Doris Land, Linwood, Teresa Graham, Topeka, and Rita Sherman, Overland Park; two sisters, Katherine Upchurch, Tyler, Tex., and Rose Marie Vanzant, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
