Betty Jane Corzine

Anna, Ill. Services for Betty Jane Corzine, 71, Lawrence, Kan., formerly of Anna, are pending and will be announced by Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home, Anna. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Mrs. Corzine died Monday, April 22, 2002, at her home. She had cancer.

She was born Aug. 19, 1930, in Tamora, the daughter of John Henry and Mary Edith (Ferguson) Fritz. She graduated from A-J High School in 1948. She lived most of her life in the Union County area. She moved to her daughter’s home in Lawrence, Kan., in Aug. 2001.

Mrs. Corzine was employed by Brown and International Shoe Factories and Choate Mental Health Center in Anna for many years. She retired from Choate Mental Health Center in 1991. She and her husband owned and operated Corzine’s Body Shop and Wrecker Service in Union County for many years.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Cobden, a 25-year member of Anna Moose Lodge Chapter No. 1181, and a member of Anna Eastern Star Lodge No. 522.

She married Wilbur Delene (Dozy) Corzine May 22, 1948, in Piggott, Ark. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Darlene Nunez, Lawrence, Kan.; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter.
