KU women’s golf in 12th at Big 12

? Kansas University’s women’s golf team was in 12th place after Friday’s first round of the Big 12 Championships.

KU shot a first-round 332 team score on the 6,008-yard, par-72 Colbert Hills Golf Course. Oklahoma State leads with a 293 team score.

OSU’s Emma Zackrisson leads the individual race with a 69. KU’s first-round scores: Jill MacDonald, tied for 37th, 82; Heather Rose and Jennifer Bawanan, tied for 42nd, 83; Tiffany Kruggel, tied for 48th, 84; and Kristy Straub, 60th, 93.

The tournament’s second round will be held today.
