Tornado watch issued for area
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch, effective until 9 p.m. Thursday, for the Lawrence and Douglas County area.
The watch includes 48 counties in Kansas, including the area counties of Johnson, Franklin, Shawnee, Jefferson and Leavenworth.
