Yanks’ Gooden back to work

? Nearly two months after being arrested for drunken driving and prohibited by owner George Steinbrenner from going to work Dwight Gooden is about to reclaim his job as the New York Yankees’ Tampa-based special adviser.

Friends of the former pitcher say Gooden will report to the Yankees’ offices at Legends Field, apparently cleared to do so by Steinbrenner. Gooden was stopped by Tampa, Fla., police Feb. 19 for driving erratically and subsequently found with an open beer bottle in his car.
