He was born July 30, 1948, in Leavenworth, the son of Woodrow and Phyllis (Freeman) Culp.

He served in the U.S. Navy and had worked in retail sales.

Survivors include two daughters, Amy Couture, Little Elm, Tex., and Carrie Cheatham, McKinney, Tex.; three brothers, Kenneth, Anderson, Ind., James, Wheeling, W.Va., and Timothy, Indianapolis; two sisters, Karen Fevurly, Leavenworth, and Phyllis Hacker, Martinville, Ind.; and two grandsons.

Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie, is handling arrangements.
