Wednesday  Meeting, 7 p.m., Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt. Jeff Jensen from Lawrence Brewers Guild will discuss the use and importance of yeast in the production of beer. Dutch-treat dinner at 5:30 p.m. at Free State Brewery, 636 Mass.

Lawrence Bicycle Club

Saturday  Muffin ride departs at 8 a.m. from Broken Arrow Park, 31st and Louisiana streets, and heads to Lone Star Lake.

Sunday  Show-n-go ride, a longer tour with varying destinations, begins at 8:30 a.m. in South Park.

Tuesday  Stop and smell the roses departs at 6 p.m. from Constant Park, Fifth and Tennessee streets.

Thursday  Vomit comet, a brisk 23-mile loop from Broken Arrow Park, 31st and Louisiana streets, to Vinland, Sibleyville and back. Ride begins at 6 p.m. Social ride also offered.
