New York ? Portland’s Scottie Pippen was suspended for one game without pay and fined $7,500 by the NBA on Thursday for throwing a punch at Nick Van Exel of the Dallas Mavericks. Pippen swung at Van Exel with 2:11 remaining in Portland’s 108-96 loss to the Mavericks on April 9.
