Overland Park ? Lawrence High’s softball team swept Shawnee Mission North, 3-1 and 8-2, Thursday at JCGAA.

“We’re real pleased with how were starting to communicate on defense and how we’re putting hits together,” LHS coach Reenie Stogsdill said.

In the first game, Jennifer Narcomey had the key hit in Lawrence’s two-run fifth inning.

In the second game, LHS (5-3) banged 12 hits, including three by sophomore shortstop Jenni Morrell. Haley Bowlin had a 2-run double.

LHS will play host to Olathe East at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday at Holcom.
