Edna L. Wheeler

Mrs. Wheeler died Thursday, April 11, 2002, at Brandon Woods Retirement Community.

She was born Dec. 10, 1914, in Lawrence, the daughter of William Henry and Nora (Drum) Coultis. She was a lifelong resident of Lawrence.

Mrs. Wheeler was a homemaker.

She married Albert Wheeler on April 7, 1945, in Lawrence. He died Jan. 17, 1975.

Survivors include a son, Gary Lee Wheeler, Eureka, Ark.; two daughters, Mary Louise Meadows, Lawrence, and Donna Jean Payne, Topeka; and eight grandchildren.

A companion, Rusty McLaughton, died in 1999.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to noon Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
