To the editor:

We have enjoyed the Jayhawks’ journey this basketball season. They have provided our community with many exciting moments. We couldn’t be more proud of this team and all who are associated with it!

We came up with a top-10 list of reasons for Drew Gooden to stay with this team so that we can enjoy another journey next year. We know that Drew will do what he feels is best and we support his decision. However, we sure do wish Drew would stay!

10. KU fans are the best in the world!

9. There’s no place like Allen Fieldhouse.

8. Set more school records like “The Drew Gooden Triple-Double Award.

7. KU fans would love to thank all Three Amigos at Senior Night next year.

6. Maryland’s seniors all returned for their senior year and look what happened.

5. Even though they say it’s up to you, your mom and dad want you to finish your degree.

4. You can still achieve your goal of winning a National Championship ring, putting a smile on Coach Williams face after the final game.

3. Andrew Gooden, graduate, University of Kansas. Has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it Drew?

2. Chance to be No. 1 pick in the 2003 NBA Draft and one of three KU players taken in the first round.
