Burglaries and thefts reported

A 2001 Volkswagen Jetta was vandalized between 2 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sunday in the 1400 block of Tennessee. The victim, a 22-year-old Lawrence man, reported $1,000 in damage to the windshield and hood of the car.

A champagne-colored 1996 Mitsubishi Gallant valued at $5,200 was taken between 4 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Sunday from the 1400 block of Haskell Avenue. The victim is a 27-year-old Lawrence woman.

A 1994 Nissan van valued at $6,000 containing $2,500 of Microsoft software and $500 of men’s clothing was taken from the 2200 block of Naismith Drive between 10 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday. The victim is a 57-year-old Lawrence man.

A $1,000 Hoffman Dirt Merchant II BMX bike was taken between 3:15 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Friday from the 1400 block of Massachusetts Street. The victim is a 42-year-old Lawrence woman.

B & K Auto, 956 N. Third St., reported that a 3-foot by 3-foot window was broken and items valued at $9,534 were taken between 7:30 p.m. March 29 and 8:20 a.m. April 1.

A 19-year-old Lawrence man reported that a Sony car stereo valued at $240, two speakers valued at $100 and 37 other items valued at $743 were taken from his car in between 12:15 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of Fireside Drive.
