Rainy weather has forced the cancellation of today’s parade honoring the Kansas University’s Final Four men’s basketball team.

Peggy Johnson, the parade’s organizer, said the parade won’t be rescheduled. Downtown Lawrence and the Chamber of Commerce sponsor a parade every time the Jayhawks make the Final Four.

“Hopefully we’ll be able to do this again next year,” Johnson said.
