Three arrested in Jefferson County murder

Three people were arrested Tuesday evening in connection with the murder of Clarence Rinke, who was found shot to death in his rural Jefferson County home in 1999.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s department those arrested were:

Collin E. Cady, 32, of McLouth. He is charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery.

Charlotte M. Bennett, 29, 1603 Lindenwood Lane, Lawrence; charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery.

Noah J. Gleason, also known as Kelly Joe Gleason, 42, 16203 U.S. 24 Highway, Lawrence; charged with one count of conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery.

All suspects were arrested by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
