Area transit providers have teamed with Kansas Speedway to help fans get to and from the speedway this weekend.

Five metro bus routes will shuttle race fans to and from Kansas Speedway during the track's NASCAR Busch Series Mr. Goodcents 300 and NASCAR Winston Cup Series Protection One 400. The shuttles cost $10 for a round-trip ticket each day Saturday and Sunday.

Race guests can catch a shuttle to Kansas Speedway on five routes throughout the Kansas City Metropolitan area, thanks to transit providers The Metro, The Bus and The Jo. The routes are:

  • Kansas City International Airport
  • Plaza / Crown Center
  • Casino / Downtown
  • Indian Springs
  • Johnson County

Shuttles will run from each location every 30 minutes from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. each race day. Return shuttles will resume from Kansas Speed-way one hour after post-race activities.

There are several pick-up and drop-off points along the way and travel times on each route vary from 30 minutes to an hour.

Buses will begin service at KCI Marriott on Brasilia Avenue, proceeding to hotels on Northwest Tiffany Springs Parkway. The last stop is at the Courtyard by Marriott. Ap-proximate travel time: One hour.

Afterwards, buses will serve the Marriott and Doubletree hotels. The "blue shuttle" serves Wyndham, Super 8, Red Roof Inn, Hampton Inn and Embassy Suites hotels. Approximate travel time: One hour.
