— Services for Ethel Elizabeth Scott, 85, Eudora, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Eudora United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Eudora Cemetery.

Mrs. Scott died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 16, 1916, in Alpena, Ark., the daughter of John Guy and Ruth Ardith (Ratcliff) Stepp. She graduated from Bonner Springs High School in 1933.

She was a member of Eudora United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School classes for many years, and Minerva Rebekah Lodge No. 146 in Eudora.

Mrs. Scott was co-owner with her husband of Scott Electrical and Plumbing Company from 1948 to 1981.

She married Earl Raymond Scott on April 24, 1943, in Hays. He died Nov. 23, 1988.

Survivors include three sons, John R. Scott and Larry G. Scott, both of Eudora, and Gary L. Scott, Liberal; two brothers, Carl Stepp, Smith Center, and Donald Stepp, Casper, Wyo.; two sisters, Edith Hoffine, Bonner Springs, and Marjorie Hubbs, Collinsville, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
