Victor Tuttle of Troop 52 was elected Lodge chief.
Tamegonit Lodge consists of all Order of the Arrow members in the Heart of America Council.
Chapter Two of the Lodge, which consists of Order of the Arrow members from the Pelathe District, also elected officers. Brandon McGuire of Troop 61 was elected chapter chief. Will Sharp of Troop 52 and Jason Russell of Troop 61 were elected vice chiefs. Peter Tuttle of Troop 52 was elected secretary and Tristan Wagner of Troop 52 was elected treasurer. Troops 52, 59, 61, 62 and 64 attended Fall Fellowship this year.
Cary Britt from Boy Scout Troop 62, chartered to the Linwood Lions Club, Linwood, has completed his Eagle project, which was restoration of two of the baseball fields and the concession stand in Linwood. More than 120 scout hours and $250 of donated materials were required to complete the project.
Other members of Troop 62 who helped on the Eagle project were: Paul Schlagel, Ben Thomas, Joe Kelly, James Bishop and Sam Neal.
The Troop will repaint the third baseball field with materials left over from the project as a community service.
Rod Zinn, committee chair, and Jason Wingerson, assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 52, chartered to the First Methodist Church of Lawrence, have worked on making improvements and repairs at Camp Naish for the past four weekends.
They have spent numerous hours working on drainage and construction projects, painting and putting up gateways to the camp. They painted new cedar signs for the entrance to the camp.
Zinn has been a volunteer ranger at the camp for the past 13 years and has been involved in scouting for the last 27 years. His son Dakota soon will join Cub Scouts.
John Spradlin, 17, of Boy Scout Troop 52, chartered to the First United Methodist Church, will have a Court of Honor Sunday at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds.
For his Eagle project, Spradlin designed and constructed a trellis at Broken Arrow School.
He has earned 33 merit badges and is a Brotherhood Member in Order of the Arrow. He is a Brave in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He has been a crew leader during the Philmont Scout Trek and Florida Sea Base Scout Trek. He has earned the 50-miler award and been a senior patrol leader of Troop 52. He is a member of Venture Crew 2691 and currently serves as a junior assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 52.
Spradlin is a senior at Lawrence High School where he is on the honor roll and participates in the Lawrence High School Band. He is a member of the National Honor Society, the Ultimate Frisbee Club and Ski Club.
He is the son of Don and Becky Spradlin, Lawrence.
