Memorial services for Anna L. Golden, 77, Lawrence, will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Golden died Friday, Sept. 21, 2001, at her home.
She was born Nov. 25, 1923, in Junction City, the daughter of Joseph and Ella (Murphy) Drapalik. She graduated from Junction City High School in 1941.
She worked for many years at the Kansas University business office and also was a cashier at the Kansas Union Bookstore.
Mrs. Golden was a member of Malita Chapter of O.E.S. and Ladies V.F.W. Auxiliary No. 1594, where she was a trumpet player, both in Junction City. She was a supervising election judge in Douglas County at Cordley Elementary School. She was a Republican Party committee member.
She married Billie B. Golden on Jan. 15, 1944, in San Pedro, Calif. He died Feb. 28, 1985.
Survivors include two daughters, Billie A. Whited, Long Beach, Calif., and Tammy S. Calkins, Topeka; a son, Terry L. Golden, Lawrence; a brother, J. Franklin Drapalik, Dawson, Ga.; a sister, Patsy Bingham, Norfolk, Va.; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends after the memorial service.
The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care of Douglas County, sent in care of the mortuary.
