The meeting is the final step in a project started this spring, with the goal of finding common ground on the often divisive issue of how Lawrence should grow.

At Monday's meeting, citizen representatives will present the results of a series of discussions conducted this summer on the growth issues found to be most important during the first phase of the "Lawrence is Growing: Finding Common Ground" project. Those topics are open space preservation, planning, business and economic development, traffic and transportation, schools and social capital.

Nick Haines, host of KCPT's "Kansas City Week in Review," will moderate.

The event is free and will be carried live on Sunflower Channel 6. Before the meeting, questions or comments can be called in to 832-7290 or e-mailed to ask@ljworld.com. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for seating.
