Memorial services for Jane Flessing, 80, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Episcopal Church. Mrs. Flessing was cremated. Private inurnment will be in Pendleton, N.Y., at a later date.

Mrs. Flessing died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Nov. 30, 1920, in Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of Owen and Ethel (Rock) Givens. She grew up in Kenmore, N.Y., and after school worked for the offices of Eastern States Milling.

Mrs. Flessing moved to Lawrence in 1958 with her husband. She was active in Altar Guild at Trinity Episcopal Church and assisted with other church activities.

She married Don W. Flessing Nov. 21, 1942, in Roswell, N.M. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Doug Flessing, Lawrence; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A son, Donald Owen Flessing, died Jan. 11, 1967.
