A couple of plays being presented this season by Lawrence theater companies will address end-of-life issues:
- "Mourning Glorie" by Kirby Fields, staged by English Alternative Theater and Card Table Theatre, 8 p.m. Oct. 12, 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. Oct. 13, and 2:30 p.m. Oct. 14, Lawrence Arts Center, 200 W. Ninth St. The play will be on a double bill with "Running with the Big Dogs" by Nathan Gonzales. "Mourning Glorie" is about a man who attends funerals of those he doesn't know to offer condolences. - "Wit," 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays-Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Sundays, March 1-16, Lawrence Community Theatre, 1501 N.H. The play is about a woman with life-threatening cancer.
