Services for Clarence H. Roberts, 72, Lawrence, will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Roberts died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001, at Ransom Memorial Hospital, Ottawa.
He was born Sept. 22, 1928, in Pittsburg, the son of Melvin C. and Eva Cecil (Weber) Roberts.
He was a lifetime member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local No. 763 of Lawrence, where he held several offices and served as Apprenticeship School Instructor for many years.
He married Avon D. Garrison on June 18, 1949, in Pittsburg. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Michael, Newton, Iowa, and Larry, Lawrence; a sister, Vinita Edwards, Marietta, Ga., nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A son, Jerry, died Sept. 26, 1986.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the mortuary, where the family will receive them from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Assn., sent in care of the mortuary.
