Oskaloosa Services for Crystal Gaye Weeks, 15, Oskaloosa, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Oskaloosa High School Gymnasium. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lecompton.
Miss Weeks died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001, from injuries received in a single-vehicle accident Tuesday in rural Oskaloosa.
She was born Oct. 15, 1985, in Topeka, the daughter of Robert "Rick" and Deborah Jean (Hieronymus) Weeks. She was a life-long resident of Oskaloosa.
Miss Weeks was a sophomore in high school, where she was a cheerleader for two years and a member of the newspaper staff. She also was a member of choir. At Oskaloosa Middle School, Crystal was a cheerleader for two years and served three years on the Governors' Conference of Teen Leadership.
Survivors include her parents; two sisters, Cassie Weeks and Amber Weeks, both of the home; her paternal grandparents, Robert and Doris Weeks, Lecompton; and her maternal grandmother, Billie Louise Hieronymus, Topeka.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday at Barnett Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
The family suggests memorials to the Crystal Gaye Weeks Memorial Fund to be designated at a later date, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 416, Oskaloosa, 66066.
