Funeral services for Crystal Weeks, 15, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Oskaloosa Middle School where she was a student.

Crystal was the driver of a 1987 Nissan Sentra that overturned about 4 p.m. Tuesday on 70th Street, a gravel road about a mile west of U.S. 59 near Oskaloosa, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. The car was westbound when the she lost control of it, the Highway Patrol said.

Crystal was taken by Life Star helicopter air ambulance to Stormont Vail HealthCare Center where she died.

A sister, Cassie Weeks, 13, was taken by Jefferson County Emergency Medical Service to St. Francis Hospital, Topeka. She was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.Both Crystal and Cassie were ejected from the car, the Highway Patrol said. They were not wearing seatbelts, the accident report said.

A third sister, Amber Weeks, 11, was not ejected and was not transported to a hospital. She was wearing a seatbelt, the report said.

The Weeks' parents are Rick and Debbie Weeks, Oskaloosa.
