— Services for Helen E. Lauber, 96, Kansas City, Kan., will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Porter Funeral Home, Kansas City, Kan. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, Kan.

Mrs. Lauber died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001, at Presbyterian Manor, Kansas City, Kan.

She was born July 15, 1905, in Beloit, the daughter of Fred and Maggie Pittaway. She had lived in the Kansas City area since 1918.

Mrs. Lauber was a charter member of Wyandotte United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Lois Circle of the United Methodist Women and a 24-year member and past president of VFW Post 5841 Ladies Auxiliary. She had been a volunteer for Cancer Action and Providence Medical Center.

She married Leo M. Lauber. He died in 1967.

Survivors include a son, Leo E. Lauber, Eudora; a daughter, Joan Caldwell, Kansas City, Kan., 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to Wyandotte United Methodist Church, sent in care of the funeral home, 1835 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kan. 66102.
