Baker University's football game Saturday against Culver-Stockton at BU's Liston Stadium will be played as scheduled.
"We're going to play," Baker spokesman John Fuller said. "Ultimately, what our conference said is, we can go ahead and play at the discretion of the schools. Ultimately, it was the (school) president's decision, with a recommendation from the athletics director."
Kickoff will be 7 p.m. Saturday. The game will coincide with Family Day activities.
"We thought that was an important event to keep on the calendar," Fuller said. "I honestly think we'll have a really good crowd at Family Day and at the football game. Most of the guys on the team are from Kansas and Missouri."
Fuller was surprised to learn that all NCAA Div. I-A football games scheduled for Saturday had been canceled in light of the terrorist attacks against the United States.
"At big schools, travel becomes an issue," Fuller added, noting the NAIA Div. II Wildcats play mostly regional opponents.
