Kansas University has postponed a speech by an expert on Islamic religion and law because he wasn't able to fly to Lawrence from Atlanta.
Abdullahi An-Na'im, a law professor at Emory University in Atlanta, was scheduled to speak tonight at the Kansas Union. He was to speak on human rights in Africa but was expected to discuss Islamic connections to Tuesday's terrorist attacks.
The speech was to be part of the African Studies Resource Center's series on the media and human rights. The center will try to reschedule An-Naim's lecture, but no time or date has been set.
