Rockwall, Texas Bam Morris, the leading rusher in the 1996 Super Bowl for the Pittsburgh Steelers, was sentenced to 10 years in state prison Monday for violating his probation on a 1996 drug conviction.
The violation stems from federal drug-trafficking charges, to which Morris pleaded guilty last year in federal court in Kansas City, Mo. He was sentenced in June to 30 months in prison.
Morris pleaded guilty in August 2000 to two of four counts of the federal indictment. He admitted attempting to distribute more than 220 pounds of marijuana in the Kansas City area between Jan. 1, 1998, and May 10, 2000.
