Ann J. Stanek

— Mass of Christian burial for Ann J. Stanek, 93, Ulysses, Neb., will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church, Ulysses. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Dwight, Neb.

Mrs. Stanek died Sept. 9, 2001, at home in Lawrence.

She was born May 24, 1908, in Dwight, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Trousil) Cihal.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Ulysses, and the Altar Society at the church.

Mrs. Stanek married Joseph Hofpar. She then married Edward Stanek. Both preceded her in death.

Other survivors include three daughters, JoAnn McGuinness, Lawrence, Marlene Styskal, Columbus, Neb., and Janice Dunnicliff, Healdsburg, Calif.; a sister, Christine Helman, Ulysses; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A son, Alvin Hofpar, and a grandson, Michael Hofpar, died earlier.

The rosary prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Sunday at Immaculate Conception Church.

The family will receive friends noon to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Knott Funeral Home, David City, Neb.

The family suggests memorials to American Heart Assn., and they may be sent in care of the funeral home, 385 C Street, David City, Neb. 68632.
