Mr. Naber died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at Baldwin Care Center.
He was born Aug. 25, 1909, in Aberdeen, S.D., the son of Gerrit G. and Kate (Van Landen) Naber. He grew up in Iowa and attended school there.
Mr. Naber moved to the Kansas City area in 1938, working in the steel industry until his service in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1945. While in the Navy, he worked on aircrafts in Corpus Christi, Tex. He then worked for Kansas City Structural Steel until his retirement in December 1972. In 1973, he moved to Baldwin.
He was involved with Coal Creek Gospel Assembly.
Mr. Nader married Margaret S. Johnson March 23, 1945, in Kansas City, Mo. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include four daughters, Marjorie Naber, Raytown, Mo., Genevieve Kudra, Dardanelle, Ark., Virginia Stewart, Raymore, Mo., and Catharine Stewart, Independence, Mo.; three sons, Roger, Kansas City, Mo., Keith, Greensboro, N.C., and Curtis, Kansas City, Mo.; a sister, Lucy Crowley; two brothers, Orman and Orville; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 1 p.m. Monday until the service hour.
