Kansas City, Mo. Luis Alicea hit a bases-loaded single with one out in the 11th inning to cap Kansas City's rally from seven runs down to beat the Texas Rangers, 8-7, Saturday night.
Texas jumped to a 7-0 lead in the fourth inning, but Kansas City tied it with a seven-run sixth inning. The teams remained scoreless until the 11th.
Neifi Perez led off the 11th with a walk against Pat Mahomes (5-6). After a fielder's choice groundout, Mike Sweeney singled and Joe Randa walked to load the bases. Alicea then hit the game-winner.
Roberto Hernandez (4-4) pitched a perfect 11th to pick up the win as the Royals matched their biggest comeback of the season. Kansas City's biggest comeback is from nine runs down against Milwaukee, on June 15, 1979.
Randa hit a two-run homer and Carlos Febles tied the game with a three-run shot in the sixth off Mark Petkovsek.
