Services for Wayne E. Rader, 66, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lawrence. Entombment will be in Mount Hope Mausoleum, Topeka.
Mr. Rader died Friday, Oct. 26, 2001, at his home.
He was born Jan. 11, 1935, in Hutchinson, the son of I.J. and Ann (Tonn) Rader. He graduated from Ellinwood High School in 1953 and Kansas University in 1962.
Mr. Rader was employed by U.S. Department of Agriculture from 1957 to 1961 and Internal Revenue Service through 1994. The family moved to Lawrence from Topeka in 1999.
He married Jean E. Schermerhorn on May 9, 1961, in Lakeland, Fla. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, John, Topeka; and a sister, Evelyn Roth, Ellinwood.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Highland Chapel, Topeka, and from 9 a.m. to service time Monday at the church. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to Topeka Assn. for Retarded Citizens, Sheltered Living Inc., Hope Lutheran Church, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Immanuel Lutheran Childhood Center or Hospice Care in Douglas County, sent to the funeral home, 2843 S.E. Minnesota Ave., Topeka 66605.
