Bluegrass band to make West Side appearance

The Lynn Morris Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, 5700 W. Sixth St.

The bluegrass band is appearing as part of the West Side Folk series. Opening act is The Midday Ramblers.

Lynn Morris is a three-time International Bluegrass Music Assn. female vocalist of the year, six-time Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America's female traditional vocalist of the year, and two-time Winfield National Banjo Champion. She also is a IBMA song of the year winner.

Her band includes Marshall Wilborn, vocals and bass; Ron Stewart, fiddle and banjo; and Jesse Brock, mandolin.
