Ottawa Services for Ernest Sink, 85, Ottawa, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church, Ottawa. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ottawa.
Mr. Sink died Monday, Oct. 8, 2001, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 13, 1915, in Pomona, the son of John Henry and Laura Ellen (Bean) Sink.
Mr. Sink graduated from Pomona High School in 1937. He moved from Pomona to the Baxter Community in 1942. He was a lifelong farmer and stockman.
He was a member of Aerie Lodge No. 2700 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Ottawa and Ottawa Lodge No. 803 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
He married Iva Mae Bethurum on Oct. 31, 1942, in Harrisonville, Mo. She died Sept. 29, 1973. He married Betty Brooks on Nov. 7, 1974. They divorced. He then married Marion Vanderslice on June 9, 1998, in Crystal Beach, Tex. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, John Lee, Ottawa; a daughter, Lola Mae Broers, Wellsville; a brother, Vern, Centropolis; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Calvary Baptist Church.
