KTWU program celebrates life

As part of Breast Cancer Awareness month, "A Celebration of Life: Rising Above Breast Cancer" will be broadcast at 7 p.m. Oct. 17 on KTWU, Sunflower Broadband Channel 11.

The show shares the stories of breast-cancer survivors and highlights education and prevention efforts.

Breast center offers three programs

Overland Park The Breast Center of Johnson County will offer three programs during its fall Health and Wellness Series.

All sessions are free and will meet from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Menorah Medical Center, 5721 W. 119th St.

"Nutrition for Better Health with an Emphasis on Breast Health," Oct. 23, presented by Susan Holcomb, nutrition counselor.

"Creative Visualization," Nov. 13, by Nancy J. Sullivan, executive director of the Cancer Wellness Program.

"Spirituality Can Improve Your Life," Dec. 11, by Pet Wisner, clinical nurse specialist.

LMH announces infant massage workshops

Lawrence Memorial Hospital will offer infant massage workshops for parents and their babies from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays, Oct. 9-23.
