— Services for Edna A. Caldwell, 93, DeSoto, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at DeSoto United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Silent City Cemetery.

Mrs. Caldwell died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 21, 1908, in Bonner Springs, the daughter of Emanuel and Clara Tripkos.

Mrs. Caldwell farmed with her husband for many years and then worked in the DeSoto Grade School cafeteria until 1973.

She was a member of the DeSoto United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Merry Makers Club.

She married Howard Caldwell in 1929. He died in 1965.

Survivors include three daughters, Clara Marjorie Roles, Warner Robins, Ga., Ethel Ridgway, Lawrence, and Joyce Fellers, Sun City West, Ariz.; one sister, Mae Brown, Bonner Springs; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Bonner Springs.

The family suggests memorials to the church, sent in care of the funeral home, 214 Oak St., P.O. Box 281, Bonner Springs, 66012.
