Law enforcement report

Burglaries and thefts reported

A 22-year-old Lawrence man reported that someone took a Sony compact disc player, Panasonic DVD player and 56 other items from his residence in the 2300 block of 26th Street. A Lawrence Police report said the items, taken between 1 p.m. Wednesday and 8:15 p.m. Friday, were valued at $1,660.

Enterprise Leasing, 2233 W. 29th Terrace, reported that someone took a Chevrolet Cavalier, valued at $9,300, from the 1800 block of Louisiana Street. The theft occurred at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, a Lawrence Police report said.

Police reports

Lawrence Police are investigating a report of embezzlement at Environmental Management Resources Inc., 1310 Wakarusa Drive. A digital camera with accessories and $26,250 cash were taken sometime between Dec. 1, 1999, and July 25, a police report said. The theft was reported Oct. 20. Police Lt. Steve Zarnowiec said two suspects were being investigated, at least one of whom is an EMR employee.

Emergency calls

Computer problems at Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical prevented the agency from reporting any fire or medical calls Saturday.
