Omaha, Neb. Creighton barraged Kansas University with an array of three-pointers en route to a 72-58 women's basketball victory on Tuesday in the Jayhawks' first road game of the season.
Creighton (1-1) led 38-24 at halftime and made 12 three-point goals, the most ever by a Kansas opponent.
The Bluejays outscored the Jayhawks, 36-6, from three-point range.
"We started off really slow," KU coach Marian Washington said. "We've got to do a better job coming out early on.
"They made a lot of threes and we didn't always get a hand in their face."
In the second half, KU (1-1) closed within 10 with 7:20 left. The Bluejays hit three three-pointers in a row to regain control.
Senior Kristin Geoffroy scored 13 points to lead KU.
Senior Nikki White added nine and freshman Chelsey Thompson chipped in eight.
Christy Neneman led Creighton with 18 points.
The Jayhawks will meet Hampton on Friday at the San Juan Shootout. Tipoff is 2:30 p.m.
