Law enforcement report

Burglaries and thefts reported

A 26-year-old Lawrence woman reported that someone removed four chrome wheel rims valued at $2,000 from her vehicle. The theft occurred between midnight Nov. 11 and midnight Nov. 12 in the 2700 block of Rawhide Lane, a Lawrence Police report said.

Injury accidents

An accident on the Kansas Turnpike about 6 miles east of the East Topeka interchange backed up traffic for 2 1/2 hours Tuesday afternoon. Richard Reed, 56, Trimble, Mo., was westbound in a 1999 Freightliner semi truck when he rear-ended another 1999 Freightliner, driven by Fransisco Gonzalez, 22, Spokane, Wash., as it changed lanes, a turnpike dispatcher said. Neither driver was injured. Reed's passenger, Betty Reed, 56, Trimble, Mo., was treated for a head injury at the scene. Gonzalez's passenger, Joseph Crowder, 29, Hesteria, Calif., suffered bumps and bruises and was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, where he was treated and released. The accident occurred shortly before 4 p.m.

An accident occurred at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday outside Eudora High School. A 1993 Ford, driven by Thomas Willis, Eudora, was driving northbound on Douglas County Road 1061 when it struck a 1991 Ford, driven by Marlene Dulaney, Illinois, coming out of the high school. Willis and his passenger, Evelyn Lewis of California, were unhurt. Fourteen-year-old Tasha Dulaney was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, where she was treated and released.
