Oskaloosa — She was born Feb. 20, 1922, in Alton, the daughter of the Revs. Howard and Anna (Shotts) Shelton. She had lived in Oskaloosa since 1999, moving from Leavenworth, where she had lived for many years. She was a 1942 graduate of Buffalo High School in Buffalo, Okla., and a 1945 graduate of Central Bible College, Springfield, Mo.
Mrs. Norris owned and operated Richey's jewelry store, Leavenworth, with her husband until her retirement in 1993. She also worked for more than 10 years at Hallmark Company, Leavenworth.
She was a member of New Hope Assembly of God Church, Leavenworth, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and as a vocalist.
She married Alvin J. Norris on Nov. 25, 1961, in Leavenworth. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include a sister, Doris McNaughton, Garden City.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and after 8 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
