May 25, 2001

— A Lansing Correctional inmate who walked away from a minimum-security job last week turned himself into an Oklahoma police department.

Early Thursday, Terry Jackson walked into the police department in Inola, Okla., Lansing officials said in a news release. He told police he had not eaten or showered since last Friday when he escaped from the Lansing job site.

Jackson was serving over 12 years for unlawfully manufacturing a controlled substance.
