Mrs. Kuebler died Thursday, May 24, 2001, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 29, 1917, in McDonald County, Mo., the daughter of Tom and Sadie (Brown) Maples. She moved to Lawrence in 1967.
Mrs. Kuebler had worked at Crosby's in Topeka, and Cain Sloan in Nashville, Tenn., then worked in the men's department at Weaver's Department Store for 17 years. She retired in 1984.
She married Loy Hofman in 1938. They divorced in 1956. She married Jerry Kuebler Jan. 24, 1959, in Springfield, Mo. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Dianne Van Buren, Troy, Ill., and Donna Sumner, Baldwin; a son, Ron Hofman, St. Charles, Mo.; a stepson, Bob Kuebler, Hollywood, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Julie Ollek, Buhler; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
A stepdaughter, Betty Lindquist, died earlier.
The family suggests memorials to Douglas County Visiting Nurses Assn., sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
