J. Wesley Randall

— Services for J. Wesley Randall, 64, WaKeeney, will be at 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church, WaKeeney. Burial will be in WaKeeney Cemetery.

Mr. Randall died Monday, May 7, 2001, at Logan County Hospital, Oakley.

He was born Dec. 13, 1936, in Troy, the son of Floyd and Marie (Heaston) Randall.

Mr. Randall served in the National Guard for 10 years. He had taught school in WaKeeney for 35 years and served as an athletics director. After retiring from teaching, he worked as a crop adjuster.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church and WaKeeney Lions Club. He was also a life member of Kansas-National Education Assn.

He married Elaine Reece Nov. 2, 1958, in Lancaster. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his mother, Shawnee; a son, Mark W., Lawrence; two daughters, Laura E. Wittenauer, Lenexa, and Lynn Randall, South Jordan, Utah; a brother, David, Shawnee; a sister, Muriel Bartlow, Whiting; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. today at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney.

The family suggests memorials to the church's education fund, sent in care of Schmitt Funeral Home, 336 N. 12th St., WaKeeney 67672.
