PERRY (April 27) -- Water 58 degrees and 1.7 percent above normal pool. Channel catfish fair on windy banks using shad parts. Sauger fair. White bass good up river on at spillway on windy days. White crappie fair. Water murky and fish are getting closer to bank.

DOUGLAS STATE FISHING LAKE (May 1) -- Channel catfish fair on shde sides off dam and piers, and chicken livers around feeders. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs from piers. Largemouth bass fair on minnows, shallow running crankbaits.

LEAVENWORTH STATE FISHING LAKE (May 1) -- Channel catfish poor on nightcrawlers and livers around feeders. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs from piers, dam and rock banks. Largemouth bass good in fairly shallow water using nightcrawlers, minnows and spinnerbaits.

LONE STAR LAKE (May 1) -- Bluegill fair on nightcrawlers along weedbeds. Channel catfish fair on shad sides off points, nightcrawlers in coves. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs from shore. Largemouth bass fair on lizards, spinnerbaits and crawdad crankbait.

LAKE SHAWNEE (May 1) -- Channel catfish fair on shad sides and guts, worms at heated dock. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs from shore. Largemouth bass fair on minnows, nightcrawlers, lizards and shallow-running crankbaits.
