Bergman-Vickery

The future groom is a Lawrence High School graduate. He received an associate of arts degree in nursing from Kansas City Kansas Community College. He is employed as a registered nurse at the Medical Center Emergency Department in Shawnee Mission.

The couple plan a May 26 wedding at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shawnee.

Walter-Mermis

Gary and Janelle Walter, Oberlin, and Clyde and Marybeth Mermis, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their children, Lisa Walter and Cory Mermis.

The future bride is a 1995 graduate of Decatur Community High School. She received a degree in the occupational therapy assistant program from Penn Valley, Kansas City, Mo. She is employed as a certified occupational therapy assistant at Brandonwoods Retirement Community, Lawrence.

The future groom is a 1992 graduate of Decatur Community High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in technology studies from Fort Hays State University. He is employed with Butler Manufacturing, Kansas City, Mo.

The couple plan a July 21 wedding at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence.

Hendry-Jones

Joe and Diane Hendry, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Joanna Hendry, Lawrence, to Patrick Jones, Fort Leavenworth.

Patrick is the son of Mike Jones and Barbara Hampton, both of Weatherford, Tex.

The future bride is a 1999 graduate of Eudora High School. She is employed by Vistronix.

The future groom is a 1997 graduate of Weatherford High School. He is employed by the U.S. Army and is stationed in Fort Leavenworth.

The couple plan an August wedding in Fort Leavenworth.
