Leawood Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia Ann "Patsy" Spurrier Denzel, 77, Leawood, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Road. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd.

Mrs. Denzel died Wednesday, March 28, 2001 at her home.

She was born March 23, 1924, in Kansas City, Mo., to Ann and Jack Spurrier.

She graduated in 1941 from St. Teresa's Academy and later went to Avila College, Kansas City, Mo. During World War II she worked as a chemist for Phillips Petroleum Refinery.

Mrs. Denzel married Bob Denzel on Oct. 17, 1947, in Kansas City, Mo. He survives, of the home.

She was a member of the Cure of Ars Church and served as a eucharistic minister. She was a member of the Cure of Ars Bridge Club and the Brookridge Bridge club. She was a member of the Ladies of Charity, and past president of Cure of Ars and Visitation parent-teacher associations.

Survivors include four daughters, Christy Odrowski, Lawrence, Mary Ann Mitchell, Patty Hink and Susie Muck; two sons, Bob Denzel and Tom Denzel; and 15 grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at McGilley State Line Chapel, where a rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m.
