Mrs. Vining died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at Tonganoxie Nursing Center.

She was born March 28, 1923, in Tonganoxie, the daughter of Clarence and Ida (White) Love.

Mrs. Vining was a homemaker and a member of First Congregational Church, Tonganoxie.

She married Howard R. Vining on July 11, 1954. He died Feb. 25, 1999.

The family suggests memorials to First Congregational Church, sent in care of funeral home, P.O. Box 993, Tonganoxie 66086.

Arthur Williams

Ottawa -- Services for Arthur Williams, 52, Ottawa, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Lamb-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home, Ottawa. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ottawa.

Mr. Williams died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center, Topeka, from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident Wednesday on U.S. Highway 59 south of Lawrence.

He was born Oct. 27, 1948, in Garnett, the son of Arthur and Nellie (Beller) Williams. He grew up in the Greeley area and graduated from Greeley High School.

Mr. Williams had worked for Ottawa Co-op Seed Department and was last employed at Havens Steel Co., Ottawa. He had also worked at BarbWire Steak House, Lawrence.

He married Sharon Robbins on Aug. 30, 1970, in Ottawa. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Kevin, Pomona; four brothers, Johnny, Osawatomie, Larry and Charlie, both of Ottawa, and Lou, Mission; three sisters, Barbara Lou Franks, Lyndon, Darlene Snyder, Osawatomie, and Charlene Henter, California; and a grandchild.

Friends may call after 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The family suggests memorials to Pomona United Methodist Church or Franklin County Chapter of American Diabetes Assn., sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 14, Ottawa 66067.

Joshua Beers

Olathe -- Memorial services for Joshua Michael Beers, infant son of Jackie and Wendy Beers, Olathe, will be at 2 p.m. today at Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, Olathe.

Joshua died Monday, March 26, 2001, at Children's Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.

He was born March 16, 2001, in Olathe.

Survivors include his parents, of the home; a brother, Samuel, of the home; his paternal grandfather and wife, John and Linda Beers, Lawrence; his paternal grandmother and husband, Vicki and David Fugett, Lawrence; his maternal grandfather and wife, Fred and Sandy Hunter, Tallahassee, Fla.; his maternal grandmother, Gloria Hunter, Topeka; and his maternal great-grandmothers, Virginia Hunter, Dothan, Ala., and Florence Freeman, Topeka.

The family suggests memorials to Joshua Beers Memorial Fund, sent in care of Word of Faith World Outreach Center, 20145 W. 119th St., Olathe 66061.
